Impressive work done by students

We were extremely impressed to see the great models that the students at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland (CA) were able to make in ExpressMarine. Congratulations on work well done!!

ExpressMarine is being used to help students gain a better understanding of ship structures in 3D, and to demonstrate the importance of being able to efficiently and accurately estimate the weight and CG of the structure. Along the way, students gain valuable experience in 3D modeling in Rhino, and learn how the ExpressMarine model can be used to initiate later detail design in applications like ShipConstructor.

Students enjoy working in the powerful Rhino environment, augmented by ExpressMarine’s features for rapidly building a parametric model of the ship’s primary structure. At the same time, they’re gaining valuable and practical skills which will serve them and their future employers as they move into industry.
