We are delighted to inform you that you can add faceplates to your model in the latest version of ExpressMarine .
Faceplate for Transverse Bulkheads
When you use the Parametric Offset CutOut Metod for Transverse Bulkheads you can create a faceplate on the rim of the cutout. All you need to do is to check the "use faceplate" checkbox, and set the Thickness and the Width for the faceplate when creating your cutout.
In the picture below you see a faceplate for a transverse bulkhead cutout with Thickness 10mm and Width 50mm.
To do this you select the transverse bulkhead you would like to apply a cutout too. Then click the + underneath the Cutouts and Openings and select the Parametric Offsets Cutout X-object method.
Give the cutout a name, set the Upper, Lower, Portside and Starboard Border, the Upper, Lower, Starboard and Portside Offset. Set the Radiuses of the corners. Check the Use faceplate checkbox and set the Thickness and Width and click Confirm.
To see the new faceplate in the model click Generate in the Transverse bulkhead where you selected to create the cutout with faceplate.
General Faceplate
In addition there is a new faceplate group next to Cutouts and Opening and Stiffeners for all plates generated in ExpressMarine.
This group can be used to add faceplates to the sides off all of the different plates. E.g. you can add faceplates to the top of your girder shown in the picture below.
To do this you select a girder that you would like to create a faceplate for and click the + underneath the Faceplates group. In the appearing Faceplate Methods you select the picture showing the faceplate on top of the girder.
Give the faceplate a name, set the Aft limit, the Forward limit, the Thickness and Width and click Confirm.
To see the new faceplate in the model click Generate in the Girder that you selected to create the faceplate for.
